Fans of Cosplay will be pleased to hear that we will have an entire cosplay village which will be crammed with events, features and guests throughout the weekend at PLAY Expo Manchester.
Hi there, I’m Abigail/Ulbandi Cosplay from Manchester! Been cosplaying for about 3 years, mainly to be creative and have fun embodying my favourite characters (primarily baddies!). Got into cosplay through doing face painting & make up art, which is something I’ve been doing for about 7 years now. My favourite cosplay so far has to be a tie between Jack of Blades and the Lich King as they’re two of my all-time favourite villains.

Corvidae Cosplay Emporium - Olivia
A North West based cosplayer and agency represented model, Olivia has been making costumes since a young age and cosplaying for the past 6 years winning a variety of competitions throughout this time. Due to her love of cosplay she studied for a Costume degree, through which she has learned a variety of skills from industry experts. She now works under the title Corvidae Cosplay Emporium, creating cosplays and costumes for a variety of people. For her, creating and wearing a costume is about the cosplayer/audience interaction- if a costume evokes feelings in an onlooker it has done a good job. Come and say hi to her whilst at Play Expo, she loves a good chat!

Corvidae Cosplay Emporium - Ryan
A North West based cosplayer, Ryan has been cosplaying for 5 years and has won a range of cosplay competitions within that time. He takes inspiration from a variety of sources including games, films, books and artists to create a range of different costumes that are either accurate to the character or originals. His favourite costumes are his Stalker (Metro 2033), which had positive reviews from the author Dmitry Glukhovsky, as well as his Orochi (For Honor) for its detail and precision whilst being comfortable to wear. He now works under the title Corvidae Cosplay Emporium, making costumes and props for a wide audience of people. He’s looking forward to Play Expo Manchester, so say hi if you see him!

At the ripe age of 43 I have been attending events & Cosplaying for approximately 27 years. I then took some of my Cosplays into the “lookalike” side of things for charity & over a 14 year period helped to raise around £150,000.00. I have attended over 400 events/comic cons & don’t see myself stopping anytime soon.
